This original, contestable nostalgic ballad is the perfect complement for your chorus’ or quartet’s Roaring Twenties uptune!  If flappers could visit us today, this is what they would say!   “We were a lot like you – our music got us through, in our day!” 

I composed this song many years ago on a whim as I was researching the 1920s for a chorus show.  I became fascinated with the bold women we know as “Flappers.”  I finally got serious about arranging it in 2017, and that project put me on the path of wanting to become a better arranger.  So, I have the Flappers to thank for inspiring me to “step out” and do something bold!  A few minor updates in the arrangement have been made since th performance shown below.   Superb learning tracks available from Michaela (Slamka) Johnston, Johnston Music!
